“Coming from a visual art and theatre background, my stories are often mixed up and the styles are quite confused. Once upon a time, this was frustrating. But now, I love the inconsistency of my own imagination. My mantra, ‘nothing happens until you push,’ pretty much sums me up. I do theatre stuff because its the only thing I know how to do with out getting bored or tired, and I create these lucid worlds because they are often more wonderful then the routine of my day job. I don’t like rules, and after spending a few years living and working in New York City–writing, directing and producing my own work–I realised that I don’t need to follow anyone elses. Louise previously produced ‘Open Page’, a monthly new writing night run by Stellar Network, hosted by the BFI (Southbank).
She also worked as a theatre producer, primarily for The Gutted Film and Theatre Company and Tik-sho-ret Theatre. Plays include Eleven Years Down the River – The Marchioness Inquiry (Jacksons Lane), Making Time (Old Red Lion), East End Chicago (Stratford Circus), The Victoria Climbie Inquiry (Hackney Empire Bullion Room), Ya’acobi & Leidental (Hampstead Theatre Studio and New End Theatre).
In addition, Louise was a script-reader for Impact Pictures, Momentum Pictures, BBC New Writing Initiative and Old Vic Theatre.
Amy is happily married, living in Florida, and pet-mama to four “furkids” named Olive, Cassie, Millie, and Baby (and four in Heaven named Jack, Rusty, Lulu, and Libby). She works from home with her husband, Dan, designing and developing websites. She is also an actress and a Master Acting Class Graduate of BRIFT, under the tutelage of legendary actor, Burt Reynolds.
